Here's another one who got in touch with me through Skype.
He says his name is Mark Cardwell and he's a 55 year old General in the US Army currently based in Afghanistan.
He claims his wife died three years ago in childbirth, along with the the baby. (A few days later he tells me his wife and baby died during the birth
6 years ago!) He says he has one son who is boarding school and he's not seen for three years due to not being granted holidays.
First, he tells me he's in love with me (three days after getting in contact):
Hello (name deleted) the first time i met you, i was scared to say Hi, the first time i say Hi to you, i was scared to Stare at you, the first time i stare at you i was scared to hold you, now I'm holding you I'm scared to loose you.. it sound crazy and funny but trust me when i say I'm in love with you baby... please come and build a home for me.
Then he asks me to marry him and claims he cannot get his holidays unless a 'assurance of marriage certificate' (or he sometimes calls it a 'marriage certificate')is attached to his holiday request letter to the UN.
Scammer Mark:
remember i told you i need to attached a marriage certificate to my retirement and vacation letter?
Me:
yes...
Scammer Mark:
it was sent to me by the UN and my wife or wife to be is to feel that form. will you do that honey?
Me:
to feel that form??? do you mean to 'fill in' that form?
Scammer Mark:
yes. its a form of aggreement of marriage
do you agree to marry me?? its an assurance that you have agreed to marry me. it need to be attached to my vacation and retirement letter thats all
Me:
(I didn't answer his proposal with a yes or no) Why do you need such a thing attached to that?
Scammer Mark:
its not me who need it, but the UN. my vacation will be extend to 4 months if i have a second choice of country of vacation and my retirement will be easily granted if it is a result of family reasons so it all need to be presented to the law of the UN
(I asked him to send the 'assurance or marriage certificate' to my Yahoo email - I use this email for scammers)

yes honey. the name under Rydga Tompson is the UN Agent's name
He then goes onto tell me, that there is a cost to signing and submitting this and his vacation/retirement request. That cost is US$2000. He says he can't access the funds because of where he is and if he gives me the details, could I pay the costs and he will reimburse me when we meet (of
course he will!). I tell him no. He goes on to to tell me how much he loves me and he can't stand not marrying me etc, etc.
'General Mark Cardwell' uses two Skype names, claiming one is his 'private' Skype and the other is his 'public' one.
