She (he?) hadn't asked for money yet and I wouldn't have sent any. However this site provided me with exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

I already had a suspicion that it might be some type of scam or he wasn't who he said he was. I know that there would be no way I would send money to anybody that I didn't know or had just met. I didn't want to believe that I could be so gullible to fall for all the sweet talk and poetry. I'm glad that I know now and I'll trust my instincts a little bit more in the future.

This site was a good tool for me to use to keep track of scammer's I am already tracking...so no, this site didn't save me from being scammed because I haven't been scammed....I go after scammers...they don't come after me!

Did this site save you from being scammed?
Yes it did Marisa. I just blocked a scammer today with the picture of Lucus Darlington. He called himself Mark Jones with the email address jonny_ark@yahoo.com

I gave him a very bad time today by acting funny on-line, being loud & this "guy" doesn't like misbehaving which is too bad because I love joking around & this guy is way too stiff like my dad is, I love making fun!

Unfortunately, I knew nothing of this site, or of scammers before I encountered one "firsthand"... however, this site has "saved" me from lots of anguish, wonder, confusion, angst, b/c I am not alone, and this gives me the courage to warn other women about the dangers "out there". Any of my friends/family who want to learn the details of what has happened, "how did it happen" i am referring here, b/c it is just too hard to try and explain how they get in our heads and in our hearts (and then wallets!) Thank you for this site!

It helped not only me but also people I know, thanks to what I have learnt here and to the advices I gave them.
One example: a few weeks ago, a girl, with whom I have talked a few time, told me she had been offered a job as a nanny, in London.
I was glad to hear that as it is not far from here and we could have met.
But then, when she gave me more details about this job:
- salary 850 pound a week + housing+ food + ...
- father of children is widower and his late wife died in a car accident…
- she just needs to pay around 1000 pounds for her visa and send this money to the african branch of some ‘agency’
I quickly understood it was an african scam.
But this lady, from Philippines, was just blinded by her hope for a better life. And she was ready to give up her job and sell her house for that.

it works

this site has opened my eyes to make me realise my heart and my mind have two different purposes and to keep both in check which is hard wehn you realy do or atleast theymake you think you are in love

i have found that some of the ladies i have talked to are scammers and i will advise what i do know of them in the near future including one that has taken me for a big fool

thanks to this site i will continue my quest for a loving lady as i know there are more of them out there and i will now check them out here

i have also made this like a crusade to ahlt or stop the one who has screwed me over in some way to have some gratification

thanks

I didn't find the site in time to be saved from the scam, but finding it saved my sanity

I was NEVER going to send him money, had even warned him in our first chat. BUT where I DID lose money is all of the long distance calls I made to him, for NOTHING! At nearly 3$ per minute that went up quickly!

I am glad I followed my instinct!

Blessings;

Thank goodness I found Mission Lady - or she found me - because her instinct was what saved me. Saved me a lot of money too. And thank goodness my instinct kicked in and I believed her right from the word go. I was definitely warned in time to pick myself up, dust myself off, and move on.

And I hope the contention here doesn't cause us to become impotent. Hopefully the political problems will ease up and we can get back to the way we were. The laughter was important to the healing process, and we all, no matter when our scam happened, are still healing.

I know how important we are to each other and to the general public, so I hope things work out.

And I am happy that Mission Lady was there for me. Thank you my friend.

No problem! Just did what anyone would do to help another person! A lot of that going on around this site, which is a great thing!
