This is very normal for scammers that they will contact victims from the past with new types of the scam. They will never give up. As long as he opens the messages from them , they are able to track it and will try hard to scam him again. Also the info is sold among of different gangs and they also trying hard to scam him.
Our advice is to get new email address and phone number or keep BLOCKING without even opening . Your friend needs to stop being curious what some young African criminals have to say. Good luck to you both.
Confronting the scammer is WRONG!!! DON'T enlighten criminals with your wisdom. REPORT & BLOCK.
