photos with nude content

Postby wanttoheal » Mon Sep 22, 2014 6:06 pm

Hi...I have read several posts in here saying that if you sent your scammer a "sexual" photo you will be in big trouble...how bad is it? I understand that they can use it for blackmailing...will they do that if they know that you don't have any money?...I know it was stupid to send a photo like that....it was not provocative or sexual but the one i sent was...erotic. Yes I shouldn't have done it, but I did. And the photo, I only had it at What'sapp, which means I don't have it personally anymore..because I deleted my what'sapp so he could not contact me anymore. He still has my email address but I haven't heard from him for days...perhaps they have realised that I don't have any more money? What can I do, apart from of course not responding to any mails they might send me? Should I try to get into my what'sapp again......I am sure he has already deleted me from his contacts there......I am not 20....and I don't look like a model........but some men might find it interesting...omg......will they use it, or do they have SO many others they can use instead?.....what to do?

Yes! He will use it to blackmail you for sure! The best thing to do besides ignore is do not open any email he sends you. Scammers use readnotify just like we do. If he knows you've opened and read his email, he will say anything he can say that will push a button for you to respond to him. Of course then he will threaten to blackmail you and to use your picture to send to your friends on Facebook or to your employer or anywhere he thinks it will get you to respond and send him money to stop him. Of course if you send him money it will not stop him.

Think about it, there is no one or no place that he can post your picture that it won't be removed immediately for inappropriate content. Your pictures will do him no good scamming men since you're probably not a 20-something porn star. All he wants is to threaten to send your picture to people you know via email.

wanttoheal - I, too, sent "adult" photos to my scammer and he sent a couple back to me as a blackmail threat. Once I did not respond to his attempts at intimidation and blackmail he went away. Don't beat yourself up over sending these photos - you did it because you were in love and trusted this waste of space.....

Hi, I came across a scam victim who sent her naked photo to scammer, and now receiving blackmail that the scammer will post her naked photo and show to all her Facebook friends.

I was looking for answer to her and found this post. Please advise if my advise is correct and works for her. She said she blocked him on Facebook, but the scammer sent her threatening message saying that he will spread her naked photo to all Facebook friends, and she has recovered connection with him on Facebook.

Draft
1. Please block him on Facebook and Skype and all other possible contact tools.
2. Do not open any messages on Facebook or Skype or emails. He wants to know you open his message and make you scared and will control you. If you send money to him, he will not stop.
3. If naked photo is being posted, high possibility is the photo is going to be removed immediately as inappropriate content. Therefore there's no way for him to post your photo.
4. I do not know your age but probably not a porn star of 20s. Your photo will not be used for next scam.
5. All he wants is to threaten you, saying he will expose your picture to known friends, to continue getting money out from you.

And add link of this thread.

Yes, that advice still stands as good. But for Facebook users, I would also advise closing their Facebook account entirely. Get a new email address and make a new Facebook account using a different name than you used before. Use a nickname or your maiden name or your mother's name - anything besides the real name that the scammers have. You do NOT want them to find you again.

With your new account, you can then go and invite only family and close personal friends that you have met in person before. Make your new account PRIVATE and don't allow anyone you don't know to friend you. Tell all your family and friends from your previous account, that your old account was hacked and they should not accept messages or invites from anyone they don't know or anyone that mentions your name.

Get off Facebook with your real identity FAST, before your scammer has a chance to contact any of your friends. Once your account is closed, the scammer cannot reach any of your friends and the chances he wrote down and saved your contacts, are unlikely.

And never read or acknowledge any messages from the scammer, again. Don't open emails. Blackmail is a two way communication and will always fail if there's only one party.

The scam victim told me that the scammer sent her list of her Facebook friends. She is now terribly worried about whether she really has to shut down her current facebook.

I replied her as follows.

Since he has the list of your friends on Facebook, you should close your Facebook as soon as possible and communicate with your real family/relatives and friends that your Facebook was hacked, and do not respond to the stranger even he refer to your name. Also, his purpose is to take money. If ignore and block and disable him from threatening you, he can not get money even if he actually could spread the photo to the friend list. They are lazy youth of 20s, who are seeking for easy money. And they are dealing with multiple women. If they could not get money from you any more, they do not waste time threatening you but rather look for next victims.
But I would like to have some more opinions how she could deal with, as scammer has her friends list.

It sounds like she wants to argue with our good and experienced advice. The only other advice is give her is stay off the internet forever. I wouldn't waste any more time with her. She's going to do what she wants to do. And right now she wants the attention from creating insurmountable problems.

She has finally shut down her Facebook. Thanks!! She agrees that as experienced staff here and former real victim JulieNP proves, no fear and worries for photo being spread if she shut down and disable him threatening her. Thank you!!

Hi, yesterday I was fooled by a kik user, this person told me to send full nude and to verify my account, then she would send me her nudes. She immediately wrote down a list of name on my fb friends, threaten me that she will send it to all of them. I'm still in college, and even have a good job there. My future would be totally ruined if they get my nude. So I did exactly what this person told me to, to sign up for a website. This website charged me $80, I wanted to tell some body, but too afraid that things could go big. I just deactivated my facebook, but still have this person on kik. This person hasn't reply anything after I registering that website. I'm still scared now that this person may send the nude to people. Please soemone give me an advice for this situation !

Sorry, this is not the kind of scams we deal with :( this looks like a mixture of paysite recruiter and blackmailer. But I guess, golden rule here is, block and ignore, so that they will go away.
Please try your best to block ALL your scammer´s still incoming messages and calls!

What is all this? => The FAQ

The scammers vs. Why is "he" still doing it?

Why is alerting the man in the pictures DANGEROUS?

Please click why confronting my scammer is terribly wrong :)

If it were me, i would block and ignore and let my Facebook friends know that someone has tried to blackmail me. I would also like to suggest you change your security settings on your facebook account
