Someone just friended me on Facebook using the name Robert Anderson. I work in the public so I didn't think anything of it until he immediately messaged me after I accepted his request. His message was an obvious trigger because of its broken attempt at English. (Photo of message below) I ignored him and did a Google Image search, which led me to this page and all his other aliases. So just a warning, he is now going by a different name. Still claiming to be in the military, except now he says he's a senior sergeant in the US military and is in Miami, FL. Funny enough, there are absolutely no posts on his profile from himself or anyone else. And only two pics of his face, both of which are displayed on this page. Apparently the guy has never seen the MTV show Catfish. This was a dead giveaway. Beware, people!

I found your thread googling his name as he tied to con me too. He contacted me too, his name is NOT Sheard Davis. He kept saying he wanted to marry me and wanted me to apply for leave for him and pay his flights. Luckily I got suspicious and I called the Defense Department and they looked up the name and said there is NOBODY in any branch of the military with that name. It's a fake name. They also said there is no early leave from deployments unless it's a death or serious illness and I'd have to go through the Red Cross. And that there are no U.S. military deployments in Nigeria which is where this scumbag told me he was. They told me to block him as I was communicating with a possible Nigerian terrorist trying to raise money for Boko Haram as romance scams are now their main source of funding

Thank you for the report. Please know that man on the photos is just a victim as you are. The one who scammed you is an Nigerian mafia , young males sitting 24/7 in internet cafe and pretending to be this handsome soldier just to lure you into the scam.
You are not stupid. Call yourself rather innocent girl who was unaware this types of cyber crime. Millions of people get scammed and they certainly not stupid. I know neurological surgeon, writer, teacher ....they are not stupid. Please stop blaming yourself and educate yourself and others.
